EventPal fees are charged at the time of purchase and either 1) Paid by attendees as a portion of the total convenience fee or 2) Paid by event organizer and deducted fromevent proceeds to be paid to the event organizer.
Merchant Card Fees are a normal cost of doing business. Any merchant that accepts credit cards pays Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PayPal also charges similar fees for processing. Whether you use your own merchant account or EventPal, someone pays the credit card companies. Through PayPal Checkout, EventPal benefits event organizers by allowing merchant fees to be passed on to attendees. EventOrganizers also have the ability to absorb merchant fees in the ticket price.
